Protection, Automation and Control (PAC)

Our professionals bring many years of experience integrating and commissioning protection, automation and control (PAC) systems in substations. That experience lets us deliver services even in energized installations, where a mistake can result in serious losses for clients.

Commissioning

Tests and simulations that verify the project was implemented correctly, including protection response, local and remote control of switching equipment, operating-limit change simulations, interlock verification, and consistency checks of the automations implemented in the RTUs.

Integration

IED parameterization (relays, reclosers, digital transducers, alarm annunciators), acceptance testing and calibration of protection relays, RTU parameterization, communication network verification with protocol analyzers, and database configuration and screen design for integration with the SCADA system at the Operations Center.

We work alongside project designers from the definition of project criteria through to the preparation of access lists, reducing costs and start-up time.
